Career Experience
I am a retired teacher and media specialist with over 30 years of teaching experience. I have taught all grades from kindergarten through ninth grade, primarily in the content areas of English and mathematics. In addition to classroom teaching, I have been a language arts and math intervention teacher. It was also my good fortune to be a school media specialist/librarian for all grades K-12 and a gifted and talented program coordinator for grades K-8.
I Love Tutoring Because
Tutoring gives me the opportunity to continue to help students. The challenge of finding ways to explain content that kids have difficulty understanding is something that I enjoy. Through tutoring I hope to build students' confidence in their own abilities to do well.
