Career Experience
I have been a homeschool teacher for 11 years and have taught every subject in every grade from preschool through high school. I teach to mastery, not just to a correct answer. If the concept is not understood, then the answer cannot be replicated. I have also been a nanny and an in-home childcare provider for children of all ages, from infancy through the teenage years. My goal for my students is to instill in them a love of learning by making education fun, interactive, and an overall positive experience. I intend to bring these same goals into the tutoring experience as well. If a child is struggling with a concept, my intention is to provide a safe and encouraging atmosphere so that self-confidence can be built along with the skills and knowledge for which they are seeking help.
I Love Tutoring Because
I love seeing the face of the child I am working with light up with excitement and understanding when they grasp a concept they have been struggling with. Learning can be challenging, but the reward that both the student and the teacher receive when a concept is mastered is well worth the journey it takes to get there.
