Career Experience
I have extensive experience as a classroom teacher, adjunct professor, instructional specialist, and instructional designer. Currently, I teach ENC 1101 and ENC 1102 and work as a writing instructional specialist at a local state college. I also collaborate with faculty in faculty professional development, focusing on creating high-quality online, hybrid, and face-to-face courses. My research interests lie in the integration of extended realities (AR, VR, MR) in education, particularly for ESOL and English language learning competencies. I am conducting a qualitative dissertation study on teachers’ use of AR tools, examining cognitive load and perceptions using the technology acceptance model. My expertise extends to motivating students through pedagogy and interactive instruction with a deep interest in instructional technology.
I Love Tutoring Because
it allows me to apply my expertise in pedagogy to motivate and support students on an individual level. Tutoring gives the chance to create impactful, personalized learning experiences, helping students overcome challenges and build confidence. Additionally, it aligns well with my instructional technology knowledge, as I enjoy integrating innovative tools and strategies to make learning interactive and engaging.
