Career Experience
I am a voracious reader who enjoys the process of discovery and learning. I have been working as an educator for many years. I taught as young as 5th grade and as old as graduate students. I have run art and literary magazines for years, serving as an editor at every level. Currently I lead an afterschool tutoring program at an elementary school and co-run an outdoor preschool in the mornings. I deliver writing workshops on craft, am writing a novel and screenplay, and serve as an apprentice for a grad-level novel writing course.
I Love Tutoring Because
...the joy of discovery extends to my students. I cherish the moment when someone connects with their work, when they feel that they can own it, and find not only confidence but a pure curiosity in the process itself. As a teacher, serving students is part of my life's purpose.
