Career Experience

I have tutored students privately and at summer school, including tutoring them in writing, reading, and grammar.

I Love Tutoring Because

I get to use my knowledge to help students understand concepts and hopefully learn to enjoy what they are learning about and enjoy the process of learning itself. I've been a student, and I understand what it is like to struggle with learning. Hence, being able to provide a support system for students who are struggling brings me joy. In terms of tutoring English, I enjoy reading and writing and know the importance of those skills in terms of self-expression and understanding the world. Therefore, helping students read and write makes me feel like I am truly making a difference not just in their education but their lives as well.

Tutor was very nice and helpful, but I just felt a little overwhelmed from all the questions she was asking, but overall a very kind person!

I would have loved to video conference instead of chat. I felt like it took up a lot of our time waiting for me to respond.

This was extremely helpful and my tutor was so patient with me as we worked through formatting and specificity in my paper! She was able to get me started on parts that I was stumped with and help me sort through some of my questions that I couldn't get answered in-person because of my crazy schedule!
