An American liberal arts institution in an international environment, Franklin University Switzerland (FUS) is fully accredited in the United States, in Switzerland and in China. FUS is a small, international university located in the southern Swiss city of Lugano.
Founded in 1969, FUS was among the first institutions to bring American Liberal Arts education to Europe. It is the only liberal arts university in the world accredited in the United States and Switzerland. It is the only university in the world that offers interdisciplinary, experiential learning, placing Academic Travel at the core of its curriculum.

To apply, students must complete the Common Application, or directly on our portal, and submit all of the required documents by one of our corresponding application deadlines
US applicants may submit official test results of the SAT (Franklin's code is 0922) or the ACT (Franklin's code is 5223), forwarded to the Franklin University Switzerland Office of Admissions. If scores are submitted they will be considered in the evaluation process.
Additionally, if you submit a Fall Semester application by December 1, you may qualify for a $1,000 reduction in your university costs to help with transportation costs to Lugano, depending on residency. Please contact info@fus.edu for more information.
