Students Say
The faculty is “by far one of the best strengths of Nazareth College.” “Anyone who has been at Naz can attest to the caring and personable faculty and staff,” says a student. These “interesting, insightful, and approachable” professors “want to see every student succeed” and “make time to see students outside of the classroom if they need extra help,” fostering “a positive self-image to learn and achieve in all of their students.” “They bring a passion to the classroom that makes it fun to learn the material,” raves a student, and they “encourage research and encourage using outside sources for additional learning.” Peckham Hall, the new science building, has “beautiful labs” for biology and chemistry, and Nazareth has “great internship and clinical experiences as we get into our later years of school.” The Health Sciences Department is also well known for its top-notch facilities that allow students to run pro-bono clinics right on campus.

From The School
Under the guidance of faculty, students frequently find themselves working with peers (including students from other disciplines) in clinical and lab settings, and on projects and productions. As one student recently mentioned: "There's a community feeling on campus and the surrounding area of Rochester is welcoming to students. The school offers variety and diversity and I believe the school is dedicated to their students' wholeness, health, and overall well being. It's not ALL about your academic success but your overall growth along with personal maturity and life preparation. The advisors are truly dedicated to ensuring you are on the right path and advise instead of tell." Professors and advisors encourage students to link their studies with practical experiences, including study abroad, service-learning, research, and internships. Students can support or discover their varied interests through involvement in over 50 clubs and organizations ranging from academic clubs, athletics, culture and entertainment, and interfaith groups. It's common for a math major to be a member of the dance team, a physical therapy major to minor in music, or a biochemistry major to minor in legal studies.
All campus clubs are initiated and led by students. Current campus clubs and organizations include Adventure Club; American Choral Directors Association; American Sign Language Club; Association of Social Work Students; Ballroom Club; Best Buddies Club; Black Student Union; Call4Backup; Campus Activities Board; CFS Interfaith Leadership Cohort; Chinese Club; Communications Sciences and Disorders Association; Club Italianissimo; Community Youth Development Collective; Creative Writing Club; Dare2Dance; Dungeons & Dragons Club; Environmental Sustainability Club; Fiddle Club; French Club; German Club; Gerontology Club; International Club; Lambda Association; LASMA (Spanish Club); Let's End the Stigma; Marketing Club; Math Club; Music Therapy Club; Musica Mundana; National Association of Black Accountants; National Association for Music Education; Nazareth Commuter Association; Nazareth Dance Organization; Naz Bookworms; Naz NORML; Naz Recordz; Nursing Club; Oak Tree Program; Performance Therapy Club; Philosophy Club; Physical Therapy Club; Pre-Health Professionals Club; Psychology Club; Public Health Club; Quidditch Club; Racquetball Club; Residence Hall Council; Science Club; Special Olympics @ Naz; Student Occupational Therapy Association; Student Veterans of America; Super Smash Bros Club; Theatre League; U.S. Institute for Theatre Technology Nazareth Chapter; WNAZ The Beat; Women and Gender Studies Student Association; and club sports including men's rugby, rowing, basketball, and soccer and co-ed Esports and Ultimate Frisbee clubs. Students fill their days with “classes, on-campus jobs, clubs, intramurals, sports, [and] studying,” and there are “endless activities and events that are available to students to network, learn, and grow as an individual.” Campus can become inactive on the weekends, as most people leave, but during the week “Naz always has activities offered, whether that be Motivation Monday donuts and coffee, Winter Wonderland, Spring Fest, or Friday movie nights.” There are also “$5 ticket deals with free transportation to major events like NHL games, Duke and Syracuse basketball games, Broadway shows, and much more,” and traditional Naz events like “Grocery Bingo, Trivia Night, Family Weekend, Siblings Weekend, Movie Nights, and other random activities like glow-in-the-dark Capture the Flag, roller skating, and Late-Night-Bites.”
