Admissions Requirements
Eight semester hours each in Biology, Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and Physics are required. In addition, applicants must have taken six semester hours of English and Behavioral Science. As a state-affiliated institution, the college gives preference to Ohio residents, who make up about 80 percent of the student body. About 80 percent of AACOMAS applicants are sent supplemental applications. About 16 percent of those who submit supplemental applications are invited to interview. Interviews take place from September through April, and consist of three 30-minute sessions with members of the faculty and administration. Approximately half of interviewees are accepted, with notification occurring on a rolling basis. In the past, successful candidates have had a mean GPA of 3.7 and an average of at least 8 on each section of the MCAT.
