Tutor assumes everyone is fresh out high school and doesn't take into consideration math can be overly difficult for many so we need VERY simple, almost dumb explanations. I want to be shown examples with my problem not some random one they make up; stick to the problem the student uses.

Having a tutor really helps when you have teachers who rush their lessons to fit it in a class and expect you to somehow know how to do 30 problems on a concept you only covered for 15 minutes!
