Career Experience
I taught high school English for 30 years in the Atlanta area. I have experience with online platforms in both the high school and college environment with a brief stint teaching beginning English classes at a community college. I have worked with all population levels including Advanced Placement and ESL. My work in high school included serving as a dept. chair, supervising student teachers, and writing/revising curriculum.
I Love Tutoring Because
I enjoy interacting with students, and my background in writing ensures that I am able to help students with writing assignments. I enjoy discussing literature, and I am well-schooled in the rules of grammar and mechanics as well as documentation styles. Additionally, tutoring helps me stay aware of the kinds of assignments that instructors are requiring in this modern age.
